For homes & households

Residential Plumbing Services

Emergency and everyday plumbing for homeowners, tenants, landlords and letting agents, carried out carefully and considerately around your home, with clear communication from first get in touch to finished repair.

A plumbing problem at home rarely arrives at a convenient moment. Whether it is a leak under the sink, a toilet that will not stop running or a pipe that has burst overnight, you want it dealt with properly and with as little upheaval as possible. We arrange experienced plumbers for both urgent and routine household repairs, treating your home with the care you would expect.

A modern home bathroom

We work for everyone who looks after a home: owners putting things right for themselves, tenants who need a fast and clear response, and landlords and agents who need dependable repairs with proper records. Below is a look at the problems we see most, how we work around a home, and the services most households reach for.

Common household problems

Everyday plumbing we put right

Some of these need an urgent response; others are better booked in before they get worse. We can advise which is which when you get in touch.

Leaks and escaping water

From a dripping joint to a burst pipe, escaping water can damage floors, ceilings and belongings quickly. We trace the source, stop the water and make a secure repair, and for leaks you cannot see, we offer water leak detection.

Blocked toilets, sinks and drains

A blocked toilet, slow sink or backed-up drain is disruptive and unhygienic. We clear the blockage and check the cause so it is less likely to return.

Taps, showers and bathrooms

Dripping or seized taps, faulty showers and leaks around a bathroom suite all wear away at a home. We repair or replace the affected part and test it before leaving.

Supply and pressure

A seized stopcock or poor water pressure can affect the whole home. We diagnose where the supply is restricted and put it right, so you can rely on your water again.

How we work around your home

Careful, considerate and tidy

We know that letting a tradesperson into your home takes a little trust, whether the visit is a planned repair or an urgent emergency plumbing call-out. The plumber will explain what needs doing before starting, protect the surrounding area, and keep mess to a minimum. Once the repair is complete and tested, the work area is left clean.

You will always get plain-English advice rather than pressure. If a repair is enough, we will say so; if replacement is the more sensible long-term option, we will explain why and leave the decision with you.

If it is an emergency

If water is escaping and you cannot stop it, turn off your internal stopcock, keep clear of electrics, and email us at [email protected].

For a gas smell, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. We do not carry out gas or heating engineering work unless separately confirmed.

Landlords & letting agents

Reliable repairs for rented homes

Managing plumbing across a let or a portfolio works best with a plumber who communicates clearly and keeps good records.

Clear communication

We liaise sensibly with tenants and keep you informed, so a repair can be arranged without endless back-and-forth.

Proper records

You receive a clear account of the work carried out, which helps with your own maintenance records and tenant obligations.

Consistent standard

Repairs are completed to a professional, insured standard, whether it is a single flat or several properties.

Residential plumbing questions

Do you help tenants as well as homeowners?

Yes. We help homeowners, tenants and the landlords or agents who manage a property. If you are a tenant, it is worth checking who is responsible for arranging and paying for the repair under your tenancy before work goes ahead, and we are happy to liaise with your landlord or agent where that is useful.

Can you attend quickly in an emergency?

We aim to respond to household emergencies promptly, but we do not quote guaranteed arrival times because availability depends on your location and current demand. Send us your postcode and a description of the problem and we will tell you honestly whether and when we can attend.

Will I know the cost before work starts?

Ask about call-out and labour charges when you contact us so you understand the costs before any work begins. Final figures depend on the problem and any parts needed, which is why we discuss this with you rather than quoting a fixed price in advance. Our guide to emergency plumber costs explains what affects the price.

Do you carry out boiler or heating work?

We focus on plumbing repairs and do not carry out gas or heating engineering work unless this is separately confirmed. If you have a gas or heating issue, it needs a suitably registered engineer, and for any smell of gas you should leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
