Our aim
We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We are not claiming full conformance; rather, this is the standard we work towards and review against.
What we have done
Features built into this website to support accessibility include:
- A “skip to main content” link at the top of every page
- Keyboard navigation for menus, links and the enquiry form
- Visible focus styles so you can see where you are on the page
- Semantic HTML with meaningful headings and landmarks
- Labels and error messages on form fields
- Colour choices intended to provide readable contrast
- Support for reduced-motion preferences
- A responsive layout that adapts to phones, tablets and desktops
- Descriptive text for links and alternative text for meaningful images
