For businesses & managed properties
Emergency Commercial Plumbing
When a plumbing problem hits a business, the clock is running, a closed washroom, a flooded stockroom or a kitchen out of action can stop trade altogether. We help businesses and the people who manage their buildings resolve urgent plumbing problems with as little disruption as possible.
Why a plumbing fault costs a business more than water
A plumbing failure on commercial premises is rarely only about the water. One blocked toilet can close a washroom, a leak over a shop floor can mean roping off stock, and a kitchen without a working sink may not be able to serve food safely. On top of the repair there is lost trade, the disruption to customers and staff, and the knock to reputation that comes with being seen out of order. That is why a prompt, well-run response counts for as much as the technical fix.

Business premises also put plumbing under far heavier demand than a home. Washrooms serve many more people, kitchens run all day, and the supply and drainage have to stand up to constant use. Fixtures wear faster, blockages build more quickly, and a small fault can tip over into a shutdown if it is left. Our focus is simple: get your facilities safely back in use and keep you informed the whole way through.

What we handle
Commercial plumbing at scale
The core problems are much the same as in a home, but the demand, the stakes and the systems are larger. We cover the areas that keep a building usable.
Washrooms & toilets
Blocked and overflowing toilets, failed cisterns and flush valves, leaking urinals and basin faults. Keeping washrooms open and hygienic is often the first priority, especially where the public is using them. See blocked toilet repairs.
Commercial kitchens
Blocked sinks, grease-laden wastes, leaking taps and appliance connections that can bring food service to a stop. We clear and repair so the kitchen can safely get back to work. See emergency kitchen plumbing.
Water supply & leaks
Burst pipes, failed valves and hidden leaks that can throw a whole building out. Where a leak is out of sight, we can arrange water leak detection to find it with little disturbance to trade.
Drainage at scale
Slow and blocked drains, backups and foul smells across busier waste systems. We clear the blockage and check what caused it. See emergency drain unblocking.
What to do while you wait
On commercial premises, protecting people comes before protecting property. Until help arrives:
- Make the area safe, cordon off wet floors and warn staff and customers of the slip and trip risk.
- Isolate the water to the affected fixture, or close the main stopcock if you cannot isolate it locally.
- Keep people clear of any water near sockets, equipment or electrics, and switch off the supply to affected equipment when it is safe to do so.
- Take an affected washroom or kitchen out of use, and move stock or equipment away from the water.
Knowing where your stopcock and isolation valves are before anything goes wrong saves valuable time, so our guide to turning off your water supply is a handy reference to keep on file.
Our approach
How do you keep downtime to a minimum?
For a business, the hardest part of a plumbing problem is often not knowing what is happening or how long the premises will be affected. We set out to remove that uncertainty: a straight conversation when you get in touch, honest expectations about availability, and a tidy, properly tested repair.
- Reactive emergency help to get facilities safely back in use
- Planned maintenance to cut the chance of failures
- Clear communication and records for managed properties
- Work arranged, where we can, around your trading hours
Honest about availability
We do not make blanket promises about response times. Availability depends on your location, the time of day and current demand, so the most reliable thing we can do is talk it through with you and arrange the best help we can.
Email us with your site details and the problem, and we will advise on the next step. For ongoing requirements, our commercial plumbing page explains how we support businesses day to day.
Frequently asked questions
Commercial plumbing, answered
What kinds of business do you help with emergency plumbing?
We help a wide range of commercial customers, including offices, shops and retail units, cafes, restaurants and other hospitality venues, and the property and facilities managers who look after them. The common thread is a plumbing problem that is disrupting trade or use of the building and needs resolving with as little downtime as possible.
Can you work out of hours to avoid disrupting trade?
We understand that for many businesses the best time for plumbing work is outside opening hours. Availability varies with location and demand, so the right approach is to get in touch and discuss what you need. For a genuine emergency we aim to help as quickly as we can; for planned or reactive maintenance we can talk through timing that limits the impact on your business.
Do you handle plumbing across multiple sites?
Yes. Property and facilities managers often need a consistent approach across several buildings, with clear communication and records for each visit. We can discuss how to support a portfolio of sites, whether that is reactive emergency cover or planned maintenance to reduce the chance of failures.
What should we do first if there is a plumbing emergency on our premises?
Make the area safe for staff and customers, isolate the water to the affected fixture or at the main stopcock, and keep people clear of any water near electrics. If a washroom or kitchen is affected, take it out of use until the problem is resolved. Then email us with details of the site and the problem so we can advise and arrange the right help.
